Carrabelle features the world's smallest police station as well as the famous Harry's Bar. Fishing charters are available from both Carrabelle and Apalachicola, and the fishing off the Forgotten Coast is some of the best in the country.

The Carrabelle History Museum features artifacts and photographs from the town's rich history, including an exhibit about Carrabelle native and 2022 baseball Hall of Fame inductee Buck O'Neil. The Camp Gordon Johnson World War II Museum features 4,000 square feet of museum space dedicated to the 250,000 solders who trained for the war in Carrabelle, including solders who practiced beach landings in Carrabelle before D-Day. The Crooked River Lighthouse is less than a mile from the house and beams nightly. Climb the 138 steps to the top for free from Wednesday to Sunday, with climbs at night during full moons.

Travel to historic Apalachicola to visit the quaint shops and eat some of the freshest seafood and oysters you will find anywhere in the country. Sample local craft beer at the well-known Oyster City Brewing Co.
